A staff infection is a kind of bacteria that can be found on the skin, or inside the body. The term staff is an abbreviation of the longer medical term Staphylococcus. The Staphylococcus bacteria can sit on the top layer of skin for days, months, even years without causing any harm. As soon as it has the chance to enter the body though, it does. The Staphylococcus bacteria is generally found in sensitive areas of the body, including around the anus, genitals, nose, and mouth. The bacteria does not become an actual staff infection until it enters the body. While it can sit on top of the body for quite awhile, it cannot enter the body unless there is an injury, or some kind of damage, which causes the skin to break open. Once this happens, the bacteria can enter the body and cause a staff infection. Many times a person is unaware that they have a staff infection because they believe it is an infectious condition, or one that only children get. However any of the damage described above can lead to a staff infection because the bacteria is already living on the skin. Someone who cuts themselves shaving, or breaks their nose is prone to developing a staff infection. It can also occur when a person accidentally cuts their lip, or is bitten. Another condition that leads some to develop a staff infection is the biting, or chewing of the mouth and lips. There are millions of people who absent mindedly chew their bottom lip or the inside of their cheek. As this can cause a cut to appear, it gives the bacteria a place to go, which can lead to a staff infection. Staff infections can also be passed from person to person, but this is only one type. There are at least thirty different kinds of staff bacteria, and each one can lead to a different type of disease. One kind can cause a urinary tract infection, while another kind may cause only a minor skin rash. The most common type of staff infection is the one caused by the S. Aureus bacteria. This bacteria is often found in teenagers, as well as anyone who suffers from skin problems such as acne. This staff infection may take on the appearance of a rash, or it may appear as a boil, or a large pimple. In most people, a staff infection is only a minor inconvenience. They may feel a little sick, but more likely their only symptom will be that small pimple like mark on their skin. Despite not having any symptoms, these people are very likely to spread the condition to those around them by skin to skin contact, or by sharing clothing and towels. Its important to notice the signs, and take special care to not spread the condition as some people are prone to developing more serious problems. A staff infection is something that millions of people experience every year. For most it is nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
